Mrs. Georgia Scott, who has been the Executive Director of Youth Opportunities Unlimited since June 2001, is a dynamic and multi-talented lady with a strong yet gentle approach to the challenges of our times.

She works extensively in church and community development. The devoted mother of a 16 year old son, she has a particularly soft spot for teenagers, and is an accomplished facilitator of adolescent development — moral, physical, mental and spiritual.

Mrs. Scott is a graduate of Excelsior High School and Community College, the UWI, IMP and the Mizpeh School of Intercession. She has been a foundation member of Aglow International, Jamaica , an interdenominational Christian organization for women, since its inception in 1985 and found time to serve as Vice President for Training on the Eastern Area Board. A gifted singer, who enjoys solo performances, has also been a member of the Jamaica Musical Theatre Company.

Mrs. Scott’s leadership at YOU has been highlighted by a dynamic expansion programme. This has seen the organization playing a key role in a national violence prevention thrust, undertaking commissioned community projects, and carrying out a special outreach in the Grants Pen area, as well as expanding existing programmes. In December 2005, she was elected President of CUSO’s Members’ Council for the Latin American and Caribbean Region.

The first woman to hold such a post with this Canadian-based international development organization, Mrs. Scott sees her new role as a dynamic one which will allow her to partner in developing CUSO’s positive mandate in the region.

Ian Bignal - Bearer
Though having the title Bearer, in true NGO fashion Mr. Bignall helps all of the office staff in whatever they need. When not riding through Kingstons traffic on his Yamaha SR-250 motorcycle he can be seen photocopying, answering the phone, packaging Christmas Cards as well as talking with the several youth who visit YOU.

Whenever you are driving on the street, you can lookout for Mr. Bignall on his bike sporting his Youth Opportunities Unlimited "T" Shirt.
